Project overview
The Garfield County Detention Facility provides secure, humane housing and modern intake and booking operations for the county. Correctional facilities are among the most technically demanding buildings to construct — every wall, door and fixture is part of the security system.
Henson’s role
Henson lists correctional facilities among its core markets. On this project the team coordinated detention-equipment contractors, security electronics and reinforced masonry, while maintaining strict control of tools, materials and site access. Preconstruction cost estimating and value engineering helped the county deliver a durable facility within a public budget.
