Project overview
The YMCA natatorium gives the community a year-round aquatic center — lap lanes for fitness and swim teams, plus a water slide and interactive features for families and kids.
Henson’s role
Natatoriums are one of the toughest building types to get right: humid, chlorinated air attacks steel, finishes and HVAC systems. Henson coordinated pool specialty contractors, dehumidification systems and a vapor-tight building envelope, while managing a careful sequence of concrete, tile and mechanical work.
